Alexandra Morrison is a Canadian born artist from Newmarket, a town north of Toronto, in Ontario. She is currently living in Europe and studying for her MFA at the Lukas School of Art in Brussels, Belgium. Her academic education in Fine Art began at the University of Guelph where she completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art and volunteered in art therapy working with children with autism and behavioral issues. She was then accepted to OCADu (Ontario Collage of Art and Design University) for their Interdisciplinary Master's Program in Toronto, ON. Her 2013 summer term at OCADu enabled her to apply to various art galleries for possible internships to gain a broader knowledge of institutional artistic practice; this opportunity brought her to an internship at a gallery in Brussels, Belgium. Having been exposed to the European art scene, she then transferred to the Sint Lukas School to complete her MFA where she was able to engage with new concepts and ideas.
